Wake Up Pune is a coalition of companies, NGOs, and interested individuals (all part of civil society) working to reduce stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV/AIDS in the city of Pune, India.

DID YOU KNOW?

It is estimated that 1.8% of the population is infected with HIV. This statistic is alarming, considering that the WHO defines an epidemic as only 1%.....

In the West, HIV+ people can live their whole lives with HIV! Why are millions dying in India??!!!!

So many people are unaware, and as a result this Ignorance, leads to Fear, which in turn leads to Stigma and Discrimination, and then Silence...a never ending downard cycle.

So help us BREAK this cycle... by volunteering with us, coming to our events, donating, getting your friends to join, etc. Do a little service for the soul!

Remember: HIV DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE! WE DO! HIV does not care for caste, creed, religion, race, gender, social or economic status.
