Vitiligo is a skin problem in which a skin looses its colour & becomes white, partially or totally. Shweta Association is a self support group for the people affected by vitiligo & their families. It has been founded by Dr.Maya Tulpule in the year 2000. It is currently located at Sahawas Hospital, Karve Nagar, Pune. (contact: 020-25458760) ‘Shweta’ has formed a special marriage burro for the vitiligo affected people & their relatives/ family members. Medicines, counseling, derma colours & many other things are being arranged by this group. Dr.Maya Tulpule has also produced a marathi movie called ‘Nital’ which depicts emotional & social aspects of Vitiligo.
